Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Inspire 2035 is SOCCCD’s long-range strategic and facilities master plan. It sets a shared vision for the future of the district, guiding priorities in education, infrastructure, and community engagement through the year 2035.

The plan helps ensure that facilities, programs, and services are aligned with the evolving needs of students, staff, and the broader community. It ensures the district is proactive, inclusive, and strategic in growth and resource allocation.

The Chancellor’s Planning Commission (CPC), composed of faculty, classified professionals, students, administrators, and community stakeholders, is central to the process. Broader input is also gathered through events and surveys.

It aims to create inclusive, modern, and accessible learning environments while ensuring student services and academic programs align with career and transfer pathways.

SOCCCD offers various avenues for input, such as listening sessions, open forums, and surveys. Feedback is used to shape recommendations and priorities.

While exact timelines vary, the plan unfolds over multiple years. The goal is to have a clear roadmap in place by 2025, with periodic updates through 2035.
