Our community college district plays a pivotal role in shaping the future workforce and leaders of Orange County and beyond. Our Board of Trustees support our Chancellor in hosting an annual State of the District event to highlight the accomplishments, challenges, and future objectives of SOCCCD for students, staff, faculty, and the community.

Chancellor Julianna Barnes shared how SOCCCD continues its winning streak, advancing excellence and building strong partnerships that strengthen pathways for students.
The Chancellor also sat down for an engaging conversation with regional leaders including Jeff Ball, CEO of the Orange County Business Council, Dr. Ron Rochon, President of California State University, Fullerton, and Dr. Mark Johnson, Superintendent of the Tustin Unified School District to highlight the importance of collaboration from K-12 through higher education and the workforce.
A full house, plus our trustees Carolyn Inmon, Ryan Dack, Marcia Milchiker, Lisa Bartlett, and Terri Rydell gathered for our annual State of the District at the Saddleback@ATEP Culinary Arts building.
A reception was held after the interviews, in the space between the Saddleback@ATEP Culinary and Auto Tech buildings.
A photobooth was set up for attendees to take photos.
