The law requires personal service of every subpoena. Service in less formal ways, such as by fax or mail, shall not be accepted. A subpoena to a particular person can only be accepted by that person, and will not be accepted by SOCCCD.

All subpoenas seeking production of college or employment records, should be addressed to South Orange County Community College District. A check in the amount of $15 (processing fee) is required and should be presented with the subpoena at the time it is served. Subpoenas are to be personally served to the Risk Manager in District Services, located on the 3rd floor of the Health Sciences Building at Saddleback College, 28000 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo, CA 92692. Upon arrival, ask the 3rd floor receptionist to speak with the Risk Manager.

Hours of Acceptance:

Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Records will be supplied as indicated on the subpoena. If the subpoena does not identify the form(s) that the records are to be produced, then SOCCCD may produce the information in the manner in which it is maintained or in a form that is reasonably usable.
