
Two SOCCCD Colleges Named Among WalletHub’s Top 15 in the Nation
Saddleback College Ranked #8, Irvine Valley College Ranked #12
Mission Viejo, CA — The South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD) is proud to announce that both of its colleges—Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College—have earned spots among WalletHub’s Top 15 Community Colleges in the Nation for 2025.
Saddleback College secured the #8 position, while Irvine Valley College came in at #12, highlighting SOCCCD’s exceptional commitment to delivering world-class education, affordability, and student success.
“This remarkable achievement is a direct reflection of our district-wide commitment to academic excellence and the life-changing opportunities we provide our students,” said Dr. Julianna M. Asperin Barnes, Chancellor of SOCCCD. “Having both of our colleges recognized at the national level affirms the dedication of our faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as the hard work and talent of our students.”
WalletHub’s rankings are based on measures such as tuition and fees, student-faculty ratio, graduation rates, student loan default rates, and return on educational investment. The recognition places SOCCCD among an elite group of higher education providers that offer exceptional quality and value.
