SOCCCD Board President Carolyn Inmon and Trustee Marcia Milchiker Appointed to National ACCT Committees
MISSION VIEJO, CA — The South Orange County Community College District (SOCCCD) is proud to announce that Board President Carolyn Inmon has been appointed to the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) Governance and Bylaws Committee, and Trustee Marcia Milchiker has been appointed to the ACCT Public Policy and Advocacy Committee.
These prestigious national appointments recognize President Inmon’s and Trustee Milchiker’s long-standing commitment to advancing student success, strengthening community college governance, and advocating for policies that support students, faculty, and staff across the country.
“President Inmon and Trustee Milchiker are not only dedicated leaders for SOCCCD, but they are also respected voices in community college governance and advocacy at the state and national levels,” said Dr. Julianna M. Asperin Barnes, Chancellor of SOCCCD. “Their service on these ACCT committees will help ensure that the needs and aspirations of South Orange County students are represented in critical national conversations about the future of community colleges.”

The ACCT Public Policy and Advocacy Committee plays a key role in shaping ACCT’s federal advocacy agenda, advising on legislative priorities, and promoting policies that expand access, affordability, and pathways to completion for community college students.
