February 9, 2022

Greetings Faculty and Staff:

We have continued to monitor the transmission rates of COVID-19 throughout the county and State. Much of these data reflect a decrease in positive cases and test positivity rates. The downward trend is what we were expecting as we near the scheduled return to work in person.

Please accept this message as confirmation that we will return to work in person on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. The return applies to faculty with face-to-face teaching assignments and to all classified staff and managers. Another extension to remote work is not anticipated at this time.

Although the Governor recently announced plans to lift the indoor mask mandate for those who are fully vaccinated, we will continue to require indoor mask wearing for all students, employees, and visitors regardless of vaccination status. We will alert students and employees if and when any changes to the indoor masking requirements occur.

As stated in previous messages, KN95 masks (up to 10) are available for every employee. Please make a request with your direct supervisor to receive masks.

Additionally, the District continues to update the Return-to-Work Guidelines (RTWG), including any changes to protocols and procedures to keep students and employees as safe as possible while learning and working onsite. Please review the RTWG to familiarize yourself with the most recent changes.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience. We look forward to seeing you in person on February 22.
