
Communicating the benefits of a community college education.
The District Office
of Public Affairs offers a wide variety of services designed
to communicate the benefits of a community college education
at our three campuses: Saddleback College, Irvine Valley College
and the Advanced Technology and Education Park (ATEP), through
print, electronic and digital media. The specific functions
of the District Office include:
Marketing
- providing leadership in the development
of effective communication strategies;
- planning a wide range of marketing projects
in support of our campuses’ strategic initiatives,
student recruitment efforts and marketing campaigns;
- researching and analysis of marketing
trends to assist campuses in enrollment management; and
- creating and managing the district website.
Government,
Community and Public Relations
- reaching out to local, regional, state and national government officials and organizations through a variety of special events and communications;
- participating in the Orange County Community Colleges Legislative Task Force, a long-standing consortium of all four Orange County community college districts who work cooperatively to address legislative issues; and
- providing an internal communication program to keep employees informed.
Media Relations
- serving as spokesperson for media inquiries;
- issuing media releases and advisories; and
- writing and submitting feature articles.
The

and 333 on the 3rd Floor of the Health Sciences building on
