EMPLOYEE
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The
District's Employee Assistance Program is provided through
United Behavioral Health. The EAP is a free, confidential
referral and counseling service. EAP clinicians can
help employees sort through a problem, handle a crisis, and
suggest solutions and resources.
To
use the EAP program, you can visit their website or call toll
free. Employees and their dependents are eligible for
up to three free visits with a network clinician every six
months. Additional visits can be available for a copayment
through the employee’s health plan. Some of the areas
our EAP can help with: marital and relationship counseling,
eldercare issues, childcare issues, alcohol and substance
abuse, emotional stress, legal assistance, debt management
and referrals to community resources.
After
a simple log in process, employees can search for a clinician
online, get a referral for a clinician, or access online information
about mental health. After selecting a clinician online, the
employee calls the toll free number to get an authorization
number then calls the clinician to schedule an appointment.
