Ethan plans to hit the ground running to accomplish the following initiatives and goals:
-Collaborate with both associated student governments to improve the campus environments.
- Help to establish more opportunities, representation, and quality of education for future students throughout SOCCCD.
- Ensure that the student perspective is heard at all board meetings.
- Establish effective communication with both the IVC ASG and Saddleback ASG.
- Help students become empowered leaders.
- Represent the District and present initiatives during student conferences.
- Reach out to students and ensure their familiarity with the District and their representatives.

In addition to working hard as Student Trustee, Ethan plans to remain actively involved in his many volunteer activities, which include helping to address homelessness in the community and increasing access to healthcare through his work with Kaiser Permanente and the campus Health Resource Center.

Ethan will also continue to remain involved in Irvine Valley College club activities that are available and will keep up with his hobbies, such as freelance photography. “We are thrilled to welcome Ethan to the dais to serve as Student Trustee. The student voice will be more vital than ever as we navigate through this uncertain time in our nation’s history,” said Chancellor Kathleen Burke.

During the continued stay-at-home order and the projected months of online class offerings for the majority of students, Ethan will have the task of connecting with SOCCCD students through creative and innovative ways, while the campuses remain closed.
