
The Board of Trustees is comprised of seven members elected at-large to four-year terms by the voters in South Orange County. Board members reside in the areas they represent. Terms are staggered with elections being held every two years in connection with the general election.
The
Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing all academic
programs and educational services by establishing policies
to assure the quality, integrity and effectiveness of the
student learning programs and services, and the financial
stability of Saddleback College, Irvine Valley College and
the Advanced Technology & Education Park.
The
Board of Trustees welcomes open discussion. Regular monthly
meetings are open to the public and opportunities are provided
for members of the public and staff to address the Board.

A student trustee, elected by students of Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College, serves a one-year advisory term of office from May through the following April.
