On May 22, 2010, Saddleback and IVC are transitioning student email accounts to Microsoft’s Live@Edu system.
This upgrade has two goals:
| |
As a result of this upgrade, there are several things you need to know:
- Your Saddleback or IVC email address will not change as a result of this transition.
- During the transition, you will select a single new password that will be used to access MySite, Blackboard, and student email.
- Email you have in the existing email system will not be transferred to the new system. Instructions about what to do with any old email you want to keep can be found here.
- If you currently forward your Saddleback or IVC email to another email service, this forwarding will be retained in the new system.
The first time you use MySite to access your email after May 22, 2010 you will need to create a new, complex password. Information on how to do this is available on the How to Change Your Password Page.
Once you have changed your password, you will use your new password to access all of the following college services:
- MySite
- Blackboard
- Student Email
That’s it! Once you have changed your password you are ready to enjoy the benefits of Live@Edu.
If you have problems changing your password, please call 1-866-940-8991 for assistance.
